This policy explains what the aiobi.pt website stores in your browser, or allows others to store, why, for how long, and how you can change your choice at any time. The controller is AIOBI (Rua Mary Jane Wilson 21 3H, 9050-446 Funchal, Madeira, Portugal; info@aiobi.pt). The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy policy.
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in the browser. Local storage and session storage are similar technologies: the first keeps information until it is deleted or its period ends; the second deletes it when you close the tab. This policy applies to all these technologies, and also to third-party scripts that read information from your device, and refers to them together as "cookies".
Storing or reading information on your device is allowed without consent only where it is strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for. Everything else depends on your prior consent (Article 5 of Portuguese Law 41/2004 of 18 August).
- Analytics, advertising or social media cookies.
- Fonts, icons or images loaded from third-party servers: everything is served by the website itself. When you allow them, the Google services in section 5 load their own resources (including fonts) from Google's servers.
- Third-party services before you choose: Google reCAPTCHA and Google Maps only load under the conditions in section 5.
Links from the website to the AIOBI Platform (aiobi.ai) only carry an indication in the address that they come from aiobi.pt and, on some pages, from which page, without cookies or personal identifiers.
These are needed for the website to work as you asked and do not depend on consent. They are all set by the website itself (aiobi.pt), are not shared with third parties and are not used to follow you on other websites.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
aiobi_cookie_consent | Local storage | Stores your cookie choices, the date and the version of this policy | 6 months, or until this policy changes |
i18n_redirected | Cookie | Stores the language you chose (Portuguese or English). Only created when you choose the language | 12 months |

aiobi_orcamento_rascunho | Session storage | Stores the draft quote request, so that you do not lose what you wrote | Until you close the tab, or until you use "Delete draft" |
aiobi_contacto_rascunho | Session storage | Stores the draft contact form | Until you close the tab, or until you use "Delete draft" |
These are used only after you agree, and never before. Each category always starts switched off and can be allowed or refused separately.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
aiobi_pesquisas_recentes | Local storage (functional) | Shows your latest searches on the website (up to 10) | Until you delete them with the "Clear" button in the search field |
aiobi_assistente_conversas | Local storage (functional) | Stores the history of your latest conversations with the AI assistant and the code of each conversation, so that you can resume or delete it | 30 days per conversation, or until you delete it with "Delete conversation" |
aiobi_legendas | Local storage (functional) | Stores the subtitle options for the demo videos (language, on or off, size and background) | 12 months from your last choice, or until you withdraw your consent |
aiobi_contacto_assunto | Local storage (functional) | Stores the last subject you chose in the contact form, so that the form opens with it on your next visit. It does not store what you wrote | 12 months from your last choice, or until you withdraw your consent |
_GRECAPTCHA | Third-party cookie (form protection) | Set by Google (recaptcha.net domain) when Google reCAPTCHA protects a form you are filling in, for the risk analysis that tells people apart from automated submissions | Up to 6 months (period set by Google) |
rc::a, rc::b, rc::c, rc::d-* | Third-party local storage (form protection) | Stored by Google (recaptcha.net domain) for the same Google reCAPTCHA risk analysis | From the session until deleted in the browser, depending on the item (periods set by Google) |
NID | Third-party cookie (maps) | Example of the cookies that Google may store (google.com domain) when the Google Maps map is loaded on the contact page, under Google’s own rules | 6 months from last use (period set by Google) |
- Functional: the assistant history, recent searches, the last subject chosen in the contact form and the subtitle options for the videos are only kept in this browser if you allow this category. Without it, the assistant, the search, the form and the videos still work, but no history or choices are kept: the form always opens with the subject "General information", and the subtitle options only apply to the page that is open. The processing of conversations on the website's server is described in the Privacy policy.
- Form protection: with this permission, Google reCAPTCHA loads when you start filling in the contact, quote or newsletter form. Without it, the forms still work, with the website's own protections. More information in the Privacy policy.
- Maps: with this permission, the Google Maps map loads on the contact page. Without it, the page shows a picture of the location and the map only loads if you select "View on the map".
The third-party cookies in this table are stored by Google on Google's domain, under Google's rules, and the website cannot read or delete them. The full, up-to-date list of Google cookies is in Google's cookie policy (opens another website).
The website does not load content from other websites when pages open. It only loads third-party services in the following cases:
- Google reCAPTCHA: only if you have allowed the "Form protection" category and only when you start filling in a form: the newsletter form, in the footer of every page, or the forms on the contact and quote pages. At that point, your browser connects to Google's servers, and Google receives the IP address and device and browser data and stores the cookies listed in section 4. Google acts on AIOBI's behalf, and the data may be processed in the United States of America (see the Privacy policy).
- Google Maps: only on the contact page, only if you have allowed the "Maps" category or if you select "View on the map". The click loads the map for that view only and is not stored as a permission. At that point, Google receives your IP address and may store its own cookies, under Google's privacy rules, and Google decides on that processing. Until then, the page shows a picture of the location stored on the website itself.
- Videos: the demo videos are served by the website itself and only load when you press play.
- External links: links to other websites (for example, "Open in Google Maps" or the news sources) open in another tab and follow those websites' rules.
- Cookie notice: on your first visit, the notice asks for your choice for the categories in section 4, with "Accept" and "Reject" buttons of equal prominence and a "Choose categories" option to choose each category separately. No category is pre-selected, and the notice does not prevent you from reading the page. Until you choose, nothing that depends on consent is stored or loaded.
- Cookie preferences: on any page, the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer opens the same options. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it and takes effect immediately: whatever the website stored on that basis is deleted from this browser, and third-party services stop loading from the next page onwards. Cookies that Google has already stored are deleted in your browser settings (section 8).
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before.
Your choices (in the notice or in "Cookie preferences") are stored in your browser, with the date and the version of this policy. The website does not store the choice on its server. Each choice expires, and the options that depend on consent are switched off again until you choose again:
- 6 months after it was made;
- whenever this policy changes version;
- if you delete the website's data in your browser.
The "Cookie preferences" link in the footer is always available to review or change your choices.
- Use the website's own buttons: "Clear" for recent searches, "Delete conversation" in the assistant and "Delete draft" in the forms. The last subject of the contact form and the subtitle options for the videos are deleted when you withdraw the "Functional" permission in "Cookie preferences".
- You can also delete cookies and website data in your browser settings, including Google's (google.com and recaptcha.net domains). If you delete aiobi.pt's, the website goes back to the default language and theme, and the options that depend on consent are switched off again.
The date of the last update and the version are shown at the top of the page. When the version changes, previous choices expire and the options that depend on consent are switched off until you choose again.
For any question about cookies or personal data, please email info@aiobi.pt with the subject "Personal data".
