These terms govern the use of the aiobi.pt website, in its Portuguese and English versions. The AIOBI Platform, at aiobi.ai, has its own terms.
The aiobi.pt website is provided by:
- AIOBI;
- address: Rua Mary Jane Wilson 21 3H, 9050-446 Funchal, Madeira, Portugal;
- email: info@aiobi.pt.
- The website presents AIOBI, its solutions, services and prices, and lets you contact the team, request quotes, use the price calculator, explore demos, subscribe to the newsletter and chat with an AI assistant.
- AIOBI's solutions and services are intended for organisations and professionals, in the course of their activity.
- Using the website does not create any contract for the supply of solutions or services. Contracts are only entered into through a written proposal from AIOBI accepted by the other party or, in the public sector, through the public procurement procedure chosen by the public body.
- The processing of personal data follows the Privacy policy, and browser storage follows the Cookie policy.
- The information on the website is given in good faith and is updated whenever it changes. It may contain errors; if you find one, please let AIOBI know through the contact in section 14.
- In the private sector, prices are published in euros, excluding VAT, and follow the price table in force, identified by a version. The proposal follows the same table.
- In the public sector, the website shows the pricing structure, and the price is given in the proposal. The public procurement procedure is chosen and run by the public body under the Portuguese Public Contracts Code, and the payment terms are those set in the contract.
- The price table may change. Changes do not affect proposals already sent or contracts in progress.
- The calculator applies the published price table to the chosen configuration and shows an indicative amount.
- In the private sector, the indicative quote in PDF has a number, the date, the table version and a validity of 30 days. During that period, AIOBI undertakes that the proposal for the same configuration will follow the prices of the table version shown on the quote.
- The indicative quote is not a contractual offer, and accepting it does not form a contract. The written proposal confirms the scope, timescales and other conditions.
- The demos show the solutions with fictitious data and carry a demo notice.
- Please do not enter real personal data or data from a real organisation in the demos.
- In the demos, the artificial intelligence examples are illustrative.
- The demos may be reset, changed or become temporarily unavailable without notice.
- The website's assistant is an artificial intelligence system, not a person. It identifies itself as such before the first message.
- Answers may contain errors and do not bind AIOBI. Prices always come from the website's calculator, and only the written proposal sets the conditions.
- The assistant can open pages, calculate prices, generate documents and prepare a quote request. Nothing is sent without your confirmation.
- Please do not write contact details or sensitive data in the chat. The processing of conversations is described in the Privacy policy.
- The assistant has usage limits. When they are reached, the website shows the contact form.
- Do not try to change the assistant's rules or use it for purposes unrelated to AIOBI.
- The news on the website consists of texts generated automatically by artificial intelligence (summary, key points and the "Why it matters to your organisation" section) from news published by identified sources. Each news item shows the source, the date, the link to the original and that the text was generated by AI.
- The texts do not replace reading the original and do not reproduce the sources' images. The full text of a source is only reproduced where the source's licence expressly allows it, with the attribution that licence requires. The rights to the original news belong to their respective holders.
- Anyone can ask for a news item to be removed by emailing info@aiobi.pt with the address of the news item and the reason, using the "Request removal" link on each news item. The request is reviewed by a person in the AIOBI team, who replies within 48 working hours. While reviewing the request, AIOBI may take the news item down as a precaution.
When using the website, you must not:
- send automated or bulk messages, or messages with unlawful content, through the forms or the assistant;
- subscribe to the newsletter with an email address that is not yours or that you are not authorised to use;
- try to circumvent the usage limits, the form protections or the security measures;
- overload the website with automated requests or disrupt its operation;
- use the website for unlawful purposes or in a way that infringes the rights of others.
AI agents and search engines may read the website in accordance with the robots.txt file, the /llms.txt file and the public knowledge base.
- The texts, illustrations, design, logos, the AIOBI brand and the solution names belong to AIOBI or to those who have licensed them to it.
- You may share links to the website and quote short extracts, stating the source.
- Any other reproduction, adaptation or commercial use requires AIOBI's written permission.
- Third-party content reproduced on the website under a licence (for example, texts from European institutions under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence) follows that licence, shown next to each item.
The website contains links to other websites, such as the AIOBI Platform (aiobi.ai), the news sources and Google's services. Those websites have their own terms and policies, which AIOBI does not control.
- AIOBI aims to keep the website available and accurate, but may interrupt it for maintenance, updates or causes beyond its control.
- AIOBI is not liable for damage resulting from the use of the information on the website, the assistant's answers, the news texts or the calculator's indicative amounts, to the extent permitted by law.
- Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that the law does not allow to be excluded or limited, including in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or the rights the law gives to consumers.
- These terms are governed by Portuguese law.
- For disputes about these terms between AIOBI and organisations or professionals, the court of the district of Madeira (comarca da Madeira) has jurisdiction, without prejudice to the applicable mandatory rules. If you are a consumer, the legal rules on jurisdiction that protect you apply.
- You can make a complaint to AIOBI by emailing info@aiobi.pt or through the Portuguese Electronic Complaints Book (opens another website) (Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico). AIOBI answers complaints made through the Complaints Book within a maximum of 15 working days.
- AIOBI's solutions and services are intended for organisations and professionals. Even so, if you are a consumer, in the event of a consumer dispute you may use the Consumer Dispute Arbitration Centre of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (www.madeira.gov.pt/cacc (opens another website)). The list of consumer alternative dispute resolution bodies is on the Portuguese Consumer Portal (opens another website).
- For any question about these terms, please email info@aiobi.pt. AIOBI replies within 48 working hours.
- The date of the last update and the version are shown at the top of the page. Changes apply from the date of publication and do not affect proposals already sent or contracts in progress.
